I used one on a trip from N.C. to Ohio, and still got pulled over. Of course, it was going off, but the other guys in the car were jumping around and blasting music on the radio. So I didn't see the detector going off until the cops lights went on. I didn't get a ticket, which made one of my friends mad, he said he would have gotten a ticket because he was black.
